Prayer

 Gracious God, whose son wept over the city of Jerusalem, fill our hearts with compassion for those women and children who suffer violence and exploitation at the hands of the wicked. Guide us in vigilance so that we may recognize those who need our assistance. Be with them in confusion and pain. Give your power to the powerless, your fullness to the empty of spirit. Heal their wounds, free them from fear and restore them to true health. Strengthen them to face the future with faith in you. Amen1
